EVERY CHILD DESERVES TO BE NOURISHED
A nourished child has the essential sustenance for healthy growth, development, and overall well-being. Nourishment not only ensures that a child reaches their full potential in terms of physical development but also plays a vital role in their ability to learn, thrive, and lead a fulfilling life. A nourished child has a better chance of excelling in school, staying active and energetic, and building a strong foundation for a healthy adulthood. Access to nourishing food is a fundamental element in breaking the cycle of poverty and improving the quality of life for children, offering them the opportunity to reach their fullest potential.
WEEKEND & SUMMER MEAL PROGRAMSWe help bridge the nutrition gap for South Whidbey young people, many of whom rely on the free and reduced school lunch program to meet their nutritional needs. Other families we serve earn just above the cut-off line to qualify for low-income programs - many of those households lack a financial safety net and struggle to provide adequate nutrition for their children in the face of economic hardship.

COMMUNITY NUTRITION SUPPORT PROGRAMWe supply ready-to-eat healthy lunch and snack options to nonprofit community partners who provide services and programs to children and teens.
No-cost, ready-to-eat sack lunches are also available upon request at our local food bank. |
SOUTH WHIDBEY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL SNACK PROGRAMTo help students reach the USDA's recommended servings of fruit and vegetables, we partner with the South Whidbey Elementary School, the South Whidbey School Farms Program, and AmeriCorps to deliver free, nutritious, whole-food snacks to ALL students in pre-kindergarten through grade five every day, for in-class eating.

SOUTH WHIDBEY SCHOOL DISTRICT SNACK SUPPORTChildhood food insecurity affects concentration, memory, mood, motor skills, and general health, all of which a student needs to be able to be successful in school.
We supply ready-to-eat, healthy food options to each South Whidbey School District campus for teachers, staff, and counselors to access for students needing food support during the school day.
