In the wake of the closure of the South Whidbey School District and the stay at home orders issued by the governor to stem the outbreak of COVID-19, Whidbey Island Nourishes remains determined to continue operations and serve South Whidbey youth without interruption. We want to assure everyone that we hold the health and safety of our volunteers, our clients, the community and WIN's program above all else.
We are currently providing home delivery of our weekend lunches. If your children are in need supplemental nutrition, please visit our programs page for more information or to register.
Grab and go sack lunches are available upon request at the Good Cheer Food Bank.
If you or your family is in need of additional support, the Family Resource Center/Readiness to Learn has updated their website with helpful resource information.
We are working with our partner organizations in the community to mobilize and help those in need. As the days and weeks go on, those needs may begin to change - your support will help! Please consider a donation to WIN or to the Good Cheer Food Bank to help ensure that the South Whidbey community is fed during this crisis.
For many young people, school lunch is the main source of their daily nutrition and some go hungry over the weekend or when school is not in session. Our programs strive to bridge the gap for those in need, by delivering fresh, nutritious, ready-to-eat food. Learn more about our programs.
