DIRECT DISTRIBUTION FROM YOUR IRA
A qualified charitable distribution (QCD) is a withdrawal paid directly from your IRA to a qualifying charity that may help lower your taxable income. IRA owners who are 70 ½ or older can transfer funds directly from their IRA to a 501 (c)(3) charity without paying income tax on the transaction. Check with your financial planner for more information.
DONATING STOCKS OR BONDS
Donating securities that have been held for a year or more offers the potential tax benefit of a full fair market value tax deduction and the elimination of capital gains taxes. Contact your financial planner for more information.
You may be able to double the amount of your donation! Check with your human resources department to find out if your workplace provides matching gifts.
