EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Whidbey Island Nourishes (WIN) seeks a passionate and inspiring leader to serve as Executive Director, guiding effective solutions to childhood hunger on South Whidbey Island, WA. Salary: $30 - $40/hr DOE
Schedule: 3/4-time

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
- Support development and implement strategic plans aligned with WIN’s mission.
- Collaborate with the Board of Directors on governance, goals, and organizational growth.
- Play a key role in fundraising initiatives, including donor cultivation, grant writing, and community events.
- Build a culture of philanthropy among staff, board members, and community stakeholders.
- Ensure effective delivery and evaluation of WIN’s food and nutrition programs.
- Explore opportunities for program evolution and community impact.
- Oversee organizational budget and ensure financial health.
- Manage policies, compliance, and internal systems for operational efficiency.
- Serve as the primary spokesperson for WIN, fostering relationships with local partners, schools, and donors.
- Educate the community about food insecurity and equity through public relations and community outreach.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in nonprofit management or related fields.
- Minimum of 5 years in a leadership position.
- Proven success in fundraising and donor relations.
- Good communication skills - oral and written.
- Strong financial management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Apple software and Google Workspace.
- Passion for food equity and a commitment to community-driven solutions.
- Grant writing experience.
- Knowledge of website maintenance, social media platforms, donor database management, and general technological tools that support nonprofit operations.
- Familiarity with the South Whidbey community and its resources.
