FEED YOUR SOUL: Beverly Graham & Joe Carolus Summer Benefit Concert
Our annual summer benefit concert is back, and this year we are going groovy! Inspired by hits from the 60s and 70s, WIN is thrilled to announce performances by Beverly Graham & Joe Carolus, with Philip Van Seters as the featured opening act.
Taking place on Sunday, August 16, from 1:00-3:00 PM, at Dancing Fish Vineyards, you won't want to miss out on our diverse array of highly-anticipated auction items (both live and silent, this year!) and the summer's hottest concert. Guests will be enticed with a free drink ticket (event ticket required) and an appetizer spread that is prepared in-part by our WIN Kitchen team, featuring menu items from our creative recipe program. Additional wine and beverage rounds will be available for purchase.
Whidbey Island Nourishes (WIN) was founded in 2007 to help ensure all of South Whidbey's youth have access to healthy food. Now more than ever, your support is needed to help guarantee that our team can keep up with the rising cost of food prices we feed over 700 children each week. Grab a friend and grab a ticket, this is the place to be!
About our performers:
Joe Carolus
Joe Carolus is a talented singer based in Seattle, with more than 30 years of experience in the music industry. He is not only a skilled vocalist but also an accomplished songwriter and pianist. Joe specializes in pop, rock, and country genres, performing both his own original compositions and well-known popular covers.
Throughout his career, Joe has had the opportunity to open for renowned artists such as Blondie, Taj Mahal, and Edgar Winter. He is widely recognized for his energetic stage presence, often described as a “rock-n-roll front man” behind the piano. His performances are notable for their raw and passionate vocal style, which captivates audiences and leaves a lasting impression.
Beverly Graham
Beverly Graham is a singer-songwriter and performer based on Whidbey Island, widely recognized for her passionate music and humanitarian work. Since beginning her career at age 15, Beverly has recorded more than ten albums, showcasing her dedication and longevity as an artist. Her commitment to social causes is equally notable—she is the founder of Operation Sack Lunch, a major Washington non-profit organization, merging her musical talents with meaningful social action, particularly in advocacy for the homeless. Beverly performs with her husband, drummer Ken Wright.
As a singer-songwriter and guitarist, Beverly is celebrated for her compelling vocals and lyrics drawn from real life experiences. Her music is often described as folk/rock and frequently explores themes of life and spirit, reflecting the depth and sincerity of her artistic voice.
Philip Van Seters
Originally from Montreal, Canada, Philip Van Seters is an accomplished musician who holds a music degree from Concordia University. Now based in the Pacific Northwest, he is an active performer, regularly appearing at venues around Whidbey Island and throughout the region. Philip is known for his soulful style, which he brings to every performance, captivating audiences with his unique musical expression.
