For the 2020-2021 school year, the South Whidbey School District, in partnership with the South Whidbey School Farms Program and Whidbey Island Nourishes, is seeking to build a 3 person team of AmeriCorps members, who will serve to help enrich the school district’s robust farm program and connect it to health and nutrition education. Created in 2014, the SW School Farms Program currently teaches garden-based curriculum to 650 K-6 grade students every week at a production-based farm, while also providing culinary classes.
